Motivation
- PV market growing, further improvement of sustainability necessary
- Modules / components usually come from Asia, Europe losing market share
- Supply chain risk for valuable materials
- Reduction of critical and strategic raw materials, due to supply and cost issues
- Circular Economy for PV-materials strategically essential
- Coordinated European development necessary. Key goal of CSA activities

Mission
SOLARIS aims to integrate projected technology and market development scenarios, ranging from material mining to end-of-life, which encompasses recycling strategies, to enhance comprehension of the necessary future material resources and waste recycling methods across the entire PV value chain. Additionally, the project will examine the associated environmental and social impacts, as well as identify opportunities to mitigate the industry's environmental footprint and alleviate resource scarcities.

Optimizing resource efficiency and sustainability is crucial for PV industry in Europe SOLARIS will be a key pillar in Europe's PV industry development
- Collecting and distributing relevant data
- Connecting people and stakeholders
- Developing guidelines and tools for the transformation

SOLARIS
Towards a Sustainable Solar Future in Europe
