About SOLARIS
Key objectives

The overall aim of SOLARIS is to define and design processing guidelines to optimally address circularity of Si, thin film (CdTe, CIGS) and Perovskite PV systems across the full PV lifecycle.
1: Facilitate data knowledge and improve transparency practices
2: Collate and consolidate PV LCA data for each value stage
3: Establish 4 systemic efficiency scenarios for materials inputs, environmental indicators and economic indicators, social factors, policy and legal frameworks
4: Establish a common vision/roadmap for a Circular EU PV sector to achieve a climate-neutral PV economy
5: Develop an LCA web-based tool to investigate and interrogate PV circularity, recyclability and carbon footprint
6: Provide up to 10 training events on LCA;
7: Provide data-driven policy recommendations
ABOUT
Impacts
Definition of future PV development scenarios: market, technology & circular economy development for EACH stage!
Outcome 1:
Reduce the environmental footprint associated to PV technology deployment across all the phases of the system lifetime (production, transport, installation and end of life).
Outcome 2:
Define design and processing guidelines to optimally address circularity of PV systems for one or several PV technologies (silicon, thin film, organic PV, perovskite PV, etc.)
